From Weobley to Oxbridge!

A huge congratulations to 2 of our ex-students, Louis Kingston (left) and Jem Surucu (right) who have just received offers for Oxbridge entry this year.  Louis is looking to study History at Wadham College, Oxford and Jem is looking to study mathematics at Homerton College, Cambridge. A fantastic achievement for both these young men!

Singing at the Cathedral for Christmas!

Weobley High School were once again invited to perform at the prestigious ABF Family Christmas Concert this year.  We were the only secondary school choir on show and were singing alongside the Marches Military Wives Choir, Hereford Police Male Choir and Stretton Sugwas Primary School choir.  It was a real honour and a privilege to take part and the pupils (and Mrs Lowry) did us really proud!

Esports has landed!

Weobley has recently invested in 32 top of the line gaming machines. This has allowed us to launch a competitive Esports club, with two teams competing in the British Esports Association Winter Tournament!
Teams comprise of a Year 11 League of Legends Team, and a Year 10 Rocket League Team.
There is also a daily Esports club at lunchtime for each year group on rotation. We hope to add more teams for the Spring Tournament.

It has been another excellent year for the students of Weobley High School.  This year’s GCSE results reflect the hard work and determination of a cohort of students who achieved outstanding GCSE results despite the obvious challenges faced throughout their last 2 years of school.

Summer School 2021

This year we were proud to run a Summer school,  for mainly, our new Year 7 2021 Cohort. Each day the students participated in sessions on numeracy, literacy, science, drama, sport and specialist sessions building moon bases (University of Worcester) and even Animals (Trevor Hill). The students were fantastic and were a pleasure to get to know and see grow in confidence. We are very much looking forward to seeing you all here in September.

Weobley 7-11

A huge thanks to everyone who took part and supported our 7-11 Challenge in June 2021, it was fantastic to see the community come together.

The challenge centers around doing something 11 times a day for 7 days. Students and staff cycled, ran, hula-hooped, bounced, skipped their way through this challenge/ We raised an incredible £2500 for our chosen charity CRY, in memory of Kieran Joyce one of our ex-students, who sadly passed away.
