Once again 2025 has been a very successful year for Weobley High School’s equestrian team. They have competed in dressage, showjumping and arena eventing representing the school nationally and making us proud.

In March Alice Lewis and Grace Phillips qualified for the Show Jumping National Championships in Addington, taking place in October and recently the dressage team came 2nd and also qualified for the National Dressage Championships in October at the same venue meaning we have very strong representation. Well done Grace Nash-Upham, Alice Lewis and Sophie Lewis.

Alice Lewis also qualified for the showjumping National Championship at the prestigious Hickstead in Sussex; where she finished 8th out of 112 competitors and made Weobley the only state school to be placed individually!

Belle Ditoro-Vince and Georgia Walker have also successfully competed this year winning rosettes in showjumping and dressage.

We finish with a final mention to Alice Lewis who also turned her hand to pony racing, coming second on the hallowed turf of Cheltenham. It is only with the hard work and dedication from pupils, parents and staff that enable the school to compete successfully.

A special mention to Mrs Waring (Team manager), Mrs Loupart (Assistant team manager/head coach) and Mrs Lewis (Assistant team manager).
