Pupils at Weobley High School were involved in planting 120 saplings this spring as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. A network of individual trees, avenues, copses and whole woodlands will honour the Queen’s service and the legacy she has built. The school received 120 free trees from the Woodland Trust. These trees will also enhance the environment for wildlife and help combat climate change.
